Welcome to our Junior Farmers Camp, a full-week, unplugged summer camp where kids ages 7–15 step away from screens and into the rhythm of life on a working farm. This camp is thoughtfully crafted to balance physical activity, learning, mentorship, and fun in a safe, engaging, and inspiring environment.
Campers are grouped by age and experience, and we encourage leadership development through our Barn Buddies program, which pairs older participants with younger campers for shared learning and mentorship throughout the week.
Camp Highlights:
Animal Care & Chores
Each day begins with real farm chores: feeding goats and chickens, mucking stalls, cleaning pastures, gathering eggs, and refreshing water troughs. Campers take pride in caring for the animals and seeing the direct impact of their efforts.
Unmounted Horsemanship + Showcase for Families
Campers build confidence by learning to groom, lead, and interact respectfully with our horses. On Friday, families are invited to watch a special horsemanship demonstration led by the campers.
Nature Exploration
Daily walks on the farm and through nearby trails give campers the chance to forage for blueberries, build fairy houses, collect monarch caterpillars and learn about their lifecycle, identify native plants, and connect with the natural world around them.
Goat Yoga and Baby Goat Snuggling
Campers get to experience the fun of Goat Yoga and Baby Goat Snuggling, daily here on the farm! We have brand new babies this summer.
Simple Machines & Farm Science
Whether it’s learning how a compost pile breaks down, exploring the life cycle of chickens, or taking a peek under the hood of a small engine, every day offers a chance to explore real-world concepts hands-on.
Farm Journal Keepsake
Each camper receives a farm journal to fill with drawings, nature finds, reflections, and activity notes. It becomes a personalized keepsake of their week on the farm.
Farm Olympics & Games
It's not all work and no play here on the farm! Games, crafts, and activities are a daily staple. The finale at the end of each week is our "Farm Olympics" where our farmers will put their skills to the test with challenges like "Pitchfork Toss", "Bucket Relays", "Farm Fact Trivia Sprint" and more!
Water fun Breaks & Picnic Lunches
Summer days on the farm can be hot! Campers will cool off with water play in the form of sprinklers and water games on hot days! Picnic lunches will be spent lounging in the shade—unstructured time that fosters friendships and relaxation.
Magic Show & Camper Recognition
Our end-of-week celebration includes "Farm Olympics" during the day, a family-friendly magic show for the camper and their family at the end of the day (performed by our in-house professional magician!) and Junior Farmhand Certificates to honor each camper’s achievements!
Our screen-free policy
At Hidden Grace Farm, we believe in helping kids unplug from technology so they can fully connect—with animals, nature, and each other. Our camp is a completely screen-free experience that encourages imagination, hands-on exploration, and real-world learning. We’ve found that without digital distractions, kids engage more deeply, laugh more often, and build stronger friendships. Phones and tablets should stay home. Exceptions are made for medical needs, but we kindly ask that they remain tucked away when they are not needed.
What To Bring
Please bring; lunch, snacks, water bottle, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, bathing suit or a change of clothes. Farm work can be dirty, so please wear/pack clothes that can get dirty!
